the same and different

This world is ours, you know. All of it. We are so different, and all the same. Humanity unites us. And that is something we cannot ignore.

All the words left
The day I landed
In a land without cement
No cold below
A world I do not know
I press my hands to the world
Feeling for lost ground
I discover only
That I am dangling now

I awoke to the roosters crow. Before the dawn, after the night. I feel the same lying here, in a world in which we are all walking, waking and dying. I thought I would feel different now. Instead I am just the same; bruised and broken, built and born. I seek another life, or an answer I will never know. One I may never discover under a sky with the same stars. So instead of seeking an answer, with faith I move into the unknown, openly meeting whatever the next moment brings. I embrace. There is change, breath, movement and rhythm everywhere. Life is movement, catch the wave.

I don't know if Philip follows your blog; I will send it to him. Moisture seems to come easily to my eyes as I read your story...I love you so much, my friend...Deb
