A family friend recently started a production company. While cultivating creativity through performance, she uses the fabulous gifts that she has and intertwines them with the passions of her heart and the needs of the world in which she lives. 

What an incredible way of living. If only we were all so willing to put aside our comforts and take the necessary risk to embark on that adventure. 

With proceeds of performances and productions, the company will strive to sew into the lives of youth by encouraging and fostering artistic opportunities. Sharing, empowering, awakening. Though I don't know her well, Lindsay Hacker is an incredible woman with an immense vision and huge heart for the world. The artistic mission of Awaken Productions is;

As artists we strive to enable our audience to recognize the shared connection we all have as human beings. We desire to incite something more in them: to stir them to action, to look closer at themselves, to acknowledge the truth, or to simply love more fully…

To awaken the full human potential in each 

I have been contemplating these words everyday lately, and the artistic mission of one company is something I am now carrying close to my heart as vision for life.  It is a pretty wonderful thing to be surrounded by people who are willing to share their hearts with the world. This gives me great hope in the power of human connection and the possibility there within. I just had to share. I hope you can soak in those words, let them seep into you over a warm cup of tea.
