Honest hearts and open words
Leaves that scatter with wind
Soon to be trodden, mush
Wood grains that splinter
Fresh cut hibiscus
Half eaten banana, rotting as you watch
Vomit after she drinks
Oh there's too many, it's all I want
Sweetness in that little jar
Raw skin exposed too long
Chest pain somewhere unseen
Too tangible to be sure
Trampling the cardboard box, while still inside
Gone for milk
Back when I feel like it
Bare skin on the tube
More than I bargained for
Captivity without realization
Vanilla steamers, a friend
Water in a parched and weary land
Fresh shaven
Sandpaper and stab wounds
Birds in migration
Open door policy, freedom
Broken. Blessed. Born.
